Tests, suck.

Tests, suck, a lot.

I have a chem test some time in two weeks, and then I have to go help out with this gaming event that my anime club is holding next Saturday. Actually I signed up for it, since I figured it would be kind of fun!

I was so afraid that the newly premiered Gundam Seed: Destiny was going to replace Eureka 7! They had the same time slot, you see.

Well it turns out Eureka 7 is now at 11, after Bleach, so I can enjoy it! It's REALLY good, mech battles are fun and all but what really captures it are the characters. The primary characters, the secondary characters, they're all SO great! And the dub is fantastic! One of the few anime that has a decent dub! I think I'll pick up some volumes at Anime North this year.

Great series, 50 episodes only, check it out.

Oh funny story, so I'm in my chemistry lab and I'm cleaning these block discs to use for infra-red analysis. We need to use chloroform to wash it, so I hold the disc in my left palm and spray it with the chloroform with my right hand.

For some crazy reason my left hand starts to burn, like it feels like it's on fire. Obviously I ask the person next to me "hey, does your hand burn?" because he's doing the same thing. He says no, and asks why. I tell him, and then he suggests I go to the T.A.

For some reason, I clench my left wrist, and try to find the T.A. I don't know why I clenched my wrist, probably some reflex with the blood and stuff. Anyway, I tell him and I say "I think the chloroform went through my gloves..."

He says "oh shit...well take off your glove and wash your hand. So long as you don't dip your hand in chloroform, then it should be fine. I mean that stuff'll give you skin cancer."

And strangely enough, I have this annoying cough now, though it may have come from screaming too much during Pictionary during anime club meeting...

So yeah, if I do get some form of cancer now there's a decent reason for it: chloroform.

Damn that burning feeling was uncomfortable.

Oh, and the day when anime DVDs cheapen is when anime becomes really popular and more people (and I mean MORE) buy it regularly. Which maybe sooner than I think.
