As promised my huge giant news.

THAT (which is not in the best resolution) is the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya volume 1 special limited edition. It's going to cost 64.98 dollars, US, but the pre-orders go for like 50 bucks.

What does it have?

- Art box for the series.
- Alternative cover for volume 1 DVD.
- Audio CD.
- Haruhi cosplay head ribbon.
- "Haruhi-ism" iron on.
- Double-sided pencil board.

65 US dollars...REALLY expensive. I personally don't think it SHOULD be 65 bucks, and I'll do my best to try and get it for cheaper, but still, pretty sweet huh? The PROBLEM is that the episodes on the DVD are in CHRONOLOGICAL order, which the TV broadcast was NOT. In fact, the broadcast was OUT of order, but apparently the Japanese DVDs had ONLY chronological order.

So Bandai (or Kadowaka) negotiated and managed to get a set of DVDs produced that have the broadcast order on them (WOOT!). Problem is that...well...they're extra discs that come with volumes 2 - 4 special editions.

Which EACH costs 65 dollars (have a bunch of extras though, like pillow cases and a cosplay armband!) so it's REALLY annoying. I don't even really LIKE the pillowcases, because it's kind of CREEPY (but they do make nice collectibles).

It's kind of annoying to dish out so much money, so I'll try to go for the pre-orders for a reduced price. Hey, if you've ever watched a bit of Haruhi Suzumiya you'll totally fall in love with it (or dislike it).

The price is pretty high, but it's pretty normal in the business. I know some people think that if they just reduce the price, then more people will buy but who knows, maybe no one wants to risk their business.

There'll be a lot of gimmicks, I mean the entire licensing fiasco was a gimmick.

What's funny about the series is how it's handled. The broadcast order was out of chronological order, during the previews for the next episode Haruhi screams out what the next episode REALLY is (chrono. order), there's a bit of fanservice but it's still a decent comedy.

That and the dub cast is a list of big names. Really exciting actually, but the broadcast order DVDs won't have the dub voices, it's just sub. Which is fine by me, I mean I got all of CCS subbed only (I would pay extra NOT to have dub...).

Oh look, the LE is on Amazon.ca, for 75.84 Canadian...but pre-order is 53.09 Canadian...

I'll order on Monday. Apparently there's only 20 000 copies...the original non-limited editions are 25 dollars pre-order. 35 dollars regular price.

Oh, Youtube --> God knows Gundam. Look for one that says "God knows - Gundam PIP" and watch it. The song is good, and the Gundams are just...wow.

And while you're at it, search for Haruhi full ending dance. You SHOULD find something that says it's the full ending dance (ha ha), watch it. I'm trying to learn it!
