Well that was pathetic...

Well, the final boss died like THAT.

Yeah, I beat Star Ocean 3 today. *does a little dance*

Man it's so fulfilling, except the final boss sucked...bad...just had to keep using cancel combos. Oh man! It was hilarious! I used Side Kick, and Cliff was using Fist of Fury, and then I used Air Raid, and it lifted upward, but then Albel did Shockwave Swirl kicking the boss upward even more, and then my air raid missed on the down-lo but then when he was coming down Cliff hit him (juggle) and then I Side Kicked him again (Juggle) and it just kept going like that...

Ah...good times...

For a guy with 200 000 HP, he died pretty fast.

But...oh man! Joe hasn't finished Star Ocean 3 yet! So I'll put spoilers like this.

Garsh, I hope you can read this. So basically, what happens is after the first battle (which is easy) there's a second part where, basically he grows "wings," of some sort. It ain't angel wings, let me put it that way. Man, I am reminded of Safer Sephiroth from Final Fantasy 7, just the fact that the last boss has wings.

Oh, and he has a strange thirst to destroy the Universe.

Or the "Universe."

So then it was a brand new battle, and you can't even heal! I mean I was down 2000 HP because of all the side kicking and air raiding...! I mean this 2nd form kicked ass, killed Cliff and Albel so fast, so I had to use Analeptics and stuff! Man! Never has a boss made me use so many items! Berries, I mean the GOOD berries, ripe, perfect, not magical though...but man!

And he has this one attack, I think it was called Symmetry, basically the WHOLE battlefield (except the OUTER edge) gets lit up, and fireballs start swirling around him. My god...it was a bloodfest. Had to face him twice, first time I died, second time I held no ropes, just kept healing and fighting.

And he has this attack called "Laser," which may not sound bad, I mean theoretically he'd just shoot lasers in front of him...BUT NOOOO! It's like a Convictor's attack, where the Sphere symbol appears below you, and then OH! Lasers fly out and in and you die.

He did have a regular laser shoot attack though. Man he was hard. His name is Luther, though I preferred his regular Japanese name, Lucifer.

Isn't Lucifer sooooo much better? And there was Bezelbub and other fallen Angel names.

So yeah, after you beat him, you get the ending. It isn't BAD, but it has philosophy in it, which is like SAY WHAT?! I'm not sure if I got one of the "Pairing" endings, if I had to say anything it most likely was Cliff and Mirage, which is pretty cool.

Man, when I beat him I was soooo happy, oh the screaming. Oh the screaming. And after the battle, there are two things that acknowledge your accomplishment, (well 3 but that clear thing in the corner doesn't count!).

One: A giant pink bunny greets you at the bottom of the stairway (do you REALLY want to transverse Spiral Tower + Firewall AGAIN?!)

Two: Welch from the inventor's guild says "Congratulaions on beating the game!"

So yeah, that was it. I was pretty scared to fight him, but then fighting Pseudo Blair gave me my characters a big power boost. Let me put it this way, Fayt was at level 67, which is pretty high in itself. (Pseudo Blair gives 120 000 EXP...for all three characters! Let 120K PER character, 360K for one!)

So yeah...so after I beat the game I went around recruiting some inventors...made the Philosopher's stone too! And Boots of Prowess!

Boots of Prowess give +5% to attack and defense, but if you refine it...gives 30% to attack and defense. Now think of it, 8 of those (240%) to your ultimate weapons....gives close to or is 9999 attack...

But it does take time, and money...let me put it this way, after the game I had over 600 000 Fol, after inventing I had 59 000......

Refining the boots once, 5000...PER bar full. Refining the boots again (to 30% theoretically) it's 30 000 Fol......

Yeah...I have 3 boots, 2 are +10% and 1 is +30%. Haven't Synth'ed anything though, waiting for Ultimate Weapons for that.

Still, I need Orichalum! + 500 to attack, (+240% is better though...compared to the +4000 attack with 8 orichalum). So anyway, I tried making it, but I can't do it! I have Misty Lear but it's really hard!

Now I have to face the Maze of Tribulations (Cave of Trials by fan based) and apparently IT'S REALLY FREAKING HARD! The biggest problem?!

The music in it! Apparently (I haven't checked it out yet) it's from SO2! Man! I never played that....now I am sad....

Though, and the fact is I need to get past the Maze so I can go to Sphere 211, which is where the ultimate weapons are! But to go through the Maze I need uber stuff too! (Orichalum anyone?!)

My current weapons are Lasers...yes...lasers, with some crystals synth'ed in, so they get like + 800 attack. So I'm dealing heavy damage (still haven't tried Maze yet.......)

Since I need even more power, I decided to try my luck at the Battle Arena (check it out in Gemity Joe, great place for EXP and MONEY!), but alas....the top two rankers are uber hard.

Rank 2: Demond Lords. One succumbus and One vampire lord thingy.....though they have names...WHICH IS SCARY! I deal like 10 000 HP damage with Air Raid at 200% and that Succumbus still lives! God...checked her life out...more than 180 000....

Oh, a FAQ tells me it is 1 800 000....Go figure. I thought it was over 1 000 000 (hey, you try to concentrate on 0's in the heat of battle).
