Santa's not a jolly old fat man!

So in my last post, I mentioned how I beat the game and unlocked two new dugeons (yay!).

Well today, despite what FAQs say (I don't use them THAT much...okay now I'm just using it to get some treasure, though I don't really need it anymore!) I went into the Maze of Tribulations, located in the town of Kirsla (that closed off tunnel is now open). Let's just say:

Never...ever...go...

Without a lot of items.

So basically, you go in, and you have to navigate through hallways and stuff. Monsters that can kill you fast too, evil....there's this one big one, it's a giant demon right? So I use my super combos, and it didn't even fall down, so I kept using combos, let's just say the fight was over in less than a minute.

So I kept going on, eventually I find this small, square...area...with a chest, and another giant demon (the same type) and a flying fish. Now the fish are those things that can kill you really fast (1 500 HP per hit!) so I try to dodge it and the demon.

I reach the chest, and in it is 62 000 Fol! (Which is good because I spent a FORTUNE refining some orichalum (sp?) and my boots of prowess. I never synth'ed the orichalum though, the laser weapons weren't worth it).

Then, I try to leave the square area (it's not a separate room) and the demon attacks! So I'm like "Okay! BRING IT ON!!!!" so I start my combos, but then he attacks...like I never canceled his attack with my own, he attacked, did some technique, and OH! Everyone's dead!
To say the least, I was ANGRY! I mean I killed a bunch of monster types too! (There's a trophy for killing 420 different enemies, like different names, not appearances...) So then, I decided to tackle it again!

So this time I went in, still unprepared, and started going "do do do do do," eventually I pick some stuff up, notice a little funky "direction" on the mini-map, and find....

A BOSS!

Or a mini-boss...whatever.

He died, but I had to use some items, man he was an ice-user! I didn't equip flame sword so I was a bit at a disadvantage, but whatever.

So then I descend, into...LEVEL 2! Same type of dealy, except for dodging of enemies, lots more dodging.

Eventually, I also go meet another boss, this time in the form of a Succumbus.

Now when I see her, I was like "AW MAN! Becuase of that stupid arena match I'm afraid of succumbus' now, no matter how funky they look!" so I was hesitant, but I went in anyway.

So there I was, as Fayt, left and right, left and right, side kick, air raid, side kick, air raid.

Then I died.

And Cliff died.

And Albel died.

And then I was like *Darth Vadar stance* "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Then I REALLY didn't want to go through the maze again...so I went to Gemity to cool off some steam. Then I came back, went through it again and this time had a better strategy.

Let Cliff and Albel handle the bitch, and I will hang back. It's a good strategy ne?

So during the fight, those IDIOTS just don't do enough damage to satsify my thirst for the killing of that bitch, so then I decide, whenever Cliff is doing "Fists of Fury" and the bitch is stunned, I jump in with my combo, and then hang back.

And it works!!!

So after, there's this giant maze type...room....game...used a faq, don't even bother trying to do it while getting all the items. Let me put it this way, it's a 4 x 4 grid, with one space open. No there isn't a picture, but you have to "jump down" the space, and move the rooms around. There are some good items, like scrolls, that give some characters their battle skills.

Anyway, afterwards, you have to fight ANOTHER boss, mini-boss, whatever. Very easy, finished in about 5 seconds.

Anyway, the good news is after, you get a elevator lift to the top floor, so you can save and heal! WOOT! Then, afterwards, there's been these switches you've been pressing (two I believe) and it activates an elevator, and you can reach a level where when you enter a room....you see a scene...

So anyone play Star Ocean 2: The Second Story? I heard there was a Santa ther that sold pretty good stuff...

Joe, just go down there, and see the scene, and for the rest of you...I did NOT scream like a girl. I screamed like a man, a man that saw the face of a peddler!
