Ahahahahaha!
So I got bored of Star Ocean 3...either bored or the message boards are just BORING! So then I decided to check out Kingdom Hearts 2's message boards: BORING!
But then I decided "Meh...I'm bored enough..." so I checked out a "Make your own secret boss" topic, and ONE OF THE BOSSES....is Magus! From Chrono Trigger! Man it was hilarious! With all the scenes planned out and the spells he would cast, I'd say that would be pretty cool.
Just wanted to share that with everyone.
-------
Sora and the gang come to Hollow Bastion, after you've beaten the game, locked all the keyholes, 99 dalmations, secret ending, etc. Sora begins walking and almost goes to the room where the Maleficient was found... He blinked and looks around, a glance almost into the camera, just like the beginning of the game. Again, darkness seems to start to consume him but otherwise, he finds himself in a room again... He looks around for a few moments and wondered where he had stumbled onto..
Sora: Goofy...! Donald...! Are you guys around here?
As Sora stepped forward, a pair of torches light with azure blue flames, and behind them, two more torches lit, and two more, and two more, and two more again... There were fourteen torches in all, lighting Sora's way to apparently the center of the room, which had a giant summoning circle upon it, just like something reminiscent of Sora's battle with Sephiroth. There is a golden mantle of a demon with four arms, four candles in his hands, as his head is raided to the heavens and he looks to be in agonizing pain...
Standing with his back turned to Sora is sort of man with long ears like a possible elf, yet his skin is ghostly pale, and his eyes seem to flutter crimson. He has a sickle earring on his left ear, and very dark blue hair, easily mistaken for that of a shade to violet. He wears a long cape that, is morbid purple on the outside, and blood tuscan on the inside. He wears leather armor for the most part, with boots made of hide. As he turns to face Sora...
Magus: You... The wielder of the Keyblade... I expected another to find me, to stop me, after my world was destroyed. Apparently he is kissing princesses somewhere... It's too bad.
Sora: Who-who... Who are you?
Magus: That matters not boy. You will leave me to my work. It is time to finish what I swore to complete. No one will stop me this time. Forgive me taking so long dear sister. You will be avenged...
The fires begin to glow brighter as the wizard begins his chant.
Magus: Neuga, Zeina, Zieber, Zom... Now the-
Sora attempts to strike Magus from behind with a swing of the Keyblade... He looks around for a few moments, unbelieving that he missed with such a quick downward swing. He feels Magus however, looming behind him, and he jumps out of the way as Magus's sickle drives itself, blade first into the ground, exactly where Sora stood, only a second before he moved...
Magus: Weak, impotent, little mongrel. How dare you stop me from my vengeance. So you wish to see what the true path to darkness is...? Fear not, you won't have long to hang upon this mortal coil. To battle!
Boss: Magus
Life: 5 Bars
Difficulty: **** 1/2
Speed: Magus's speed is very dependant on how many bars he has. At 4 & 1/2-5 Bars of life, he begins to mock Sora, and simply block Sora's swings while throwing out a few elemental spells... At 4-3 bars of life he quickens and begins to attack from different sides of the circular room, as well as casting quicker spells, such as pointing at Sora, and making an area of lightning appear right under him, casted from a single burst of a lightning bolt. At 3 bars and lower, Magus will, at times teleport, but only to further attack Sora.
Strength: Magus's strength from swinging a sickle is not so much as dangerous as his spell strengths.
Weapon: Magus's weapon is an ornate sickle, which, if you pause while keeping in first person view while Magus is up close, you can notice that inscribed on the Sickle in red is the word "Doomsickle".
Techniques:
At 4-5 Life Bars...
Sickle-Swing: Self-explainatory
Mage Burst: Magus will point at Sora and a powerful explosion of magic will strike him. It will randomly be Fire magic, Thunder Magic, or Ice magic. Thunder magic is the quickest to strike, but does little damage to Sora as a whole, though it will stun him for a moment. Fire Magic is the most damaging but has no other effect. Ice Magic is balanced, and you will not be able to perform the Attack Command for a few moments. If you attack Magus with a spell counteracting the burst he strikes, he will lose the normal amount of damage he takes when he is hit with a spell, but you'll get a "20p Tech". If you hit Magus with a spell that is of the same element as he threw, you will do 2x the normal amount of damage he takes, but get no tech hit.
Secret: If you come into the battle with the Lionheart and attack Magus when he throws an Ice Mage Burst, you'll do 3x The amount of damage and get a "30p Tech".
Come in with Oblivion and attack Magus when he uses Lightning, and you'll do 3x the amount of damage and get a "30p Tech".
Come in with Crabclaw and attack when Magus uses Fire and you'll do 3x the amount and get "30p Tech".
At 3-4 Bars...
Dark Bomb: Magus begins to sail around Sora, and throws bolts of dark energy at Sora, with an ill smirk... If you have Oathkeeper in this battle, half the damage usually taken from Dark Bomb will be subtracted.
Black Hole: Magus begins to do hand-signs, and will take damage if you attack him, but will otherwise not be stopped from creating a Dark Hole at the front of the room... If you are sucked into the Dark Room you will see a small animation sequence where Sora is struck down repeatedly by Magus with a sickle, and you'll see Sora being furiously backhanded and mocked by Magus. He will lose half of his total life bars. if you have Oathkeeper in this battle, during the animation sequence, Sora will block Magus's final slash before he is slapped, and appear back in the room, again only taking half the damage the Black Hole technique should apply. The Black Hole has a A half of a life bar and can be destroyed. Magus will usually cast it twice in one battle...
Also, Magus will continue to use his former spells along with these.
...1-3 Bars...
Dark Matter: Magus will stand in the center of the room and begin to cast a spell... It will even show you at the bottom of the screen in caption, "Magus risks casting a spell"... When he is complete, a large pyramid with the design of space will show up over him, with a pyramid inside of it, completely white... It will begin to blast off shots of dark matter... Each time a blow is taken, Sora will lose one bar of magic, and two bars of life... He can deflect the blasts with a swing or a press of the square button, or roll out of the way, but using Aero will only mak the blasts stronger and 3 bars of life will be subtracted, as well as two bars of magic... To stop the Dark Matter attack, one should roll to the cente of the room and strike Magus... He will be temporarily stunned for the moment and perfect for the attack... However, it is still somewhat of a challenge to roll to the middle of the room...
One final Bar...
Magus will attempt to stop using spells, and finally began to battle only with his sickle apparently, though he will now randomly use one spell or another... He will however, have one last spell to cast.
Black Matter Fury: Magus will begin to glow a literal violet and he will raise his sickle to the air, then drive it into the ground... The summoning circle around him will glow and then five versions of himself, all shadows apparently will go to attack... Each shadow has a full life bar and will have to be destroyed before Magus is harmed... They are all slightly quicker then Magus, and although they are nowhere as strong, if they gang up on Sora enough, they will kill him quickly. After they are destroyed, Magus will heave a little, leaving him open to be defeated....
Magus sits silently, staring at Sora calmly, apparently pushing himself up, only to fall to his knees again... For a moment he looks undefiably strong, only to feel as though the wind has been knocked out of him...
Sora: Why.... Why did the heartless take your heart too?
Magus: It was not the heartless that took my heart boy... It was the very thing we call life... Never forget this young master of the keyblade. Even if you protect your heart from the darkness, it will come in many forms to confuse and hurt you. Protect the ones you love... Succeed where I failed.
Magus stands up and begins to walk away, and just as Sora tries to follow him, he catches a small sickle keychain apparently and looks around, seeing Magus is nowhere to be found...
Spoils of victory: 7500 Exp. The Rite of Mystics Keyblade.
Rite Of Mystics Keyblade: Looks to be a large set of sickle blades attached to one another, with a metal pole for a handle, and another pole bent around it in a circle to form a key...
