Ice Climbing
So there's a HUGE snow bank over on campus, basically it's the result of the dumping of a lot of the snow on the road into one place. It's quite large, about twice my height. Since the temperature has been fluctuating the height has decreased but with teh new snow fall it has been replenished.
Also with the fluctuating temperatures parts of the snow bank have partially melted, and then froze again. This has created many sharp icy spikes of doom.
Today me and two other guys had to get to the building that was just over the snow bank. Of course we could've walked around it but where's the fun in that?
I proposed to climb it. Of course they said it was stupid and I'd split my head open.
I stepped up and took a hold of the ice. I took another step and grasped a ledge of ice to steady myself.
Similar to what is seen on television and in cartoons, the ledge broke. I slipped, I fell. My head wasn't split open but my hands sure did hurt.
Since that time I've noticed a number of small pricks and cuts on my hands. They hurt a bit and are annoying. Seriously, ow.
Still, a pretty good adrenaline rush. I wish I had my gloves.
