Truth!
Truth: Persona 3 FES was hailed as one of the most kick ass RPGs on the PS2 by a number of industry sites (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/937269.asp)
Truth: Persona 4 uses the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" ideal, to essentially take Persona 3 FES and fix all the complaints (amusingly, there were a few things I had issues with).
Truth: Persona 4 was hailed as one of the best RPGs on the PS2, or even in general (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/945498.asp). I swear Game Informer is the outlier. Jerks.
Opinion: Persona 4 kicks ass.
