Now I can give my proper report.
Haru looks too girly, Hunny became even cuter (toooooo cute) and what's with the floating flowers around him? The twins have a less mature look, Tamaki's VA is a bit too deep, Mori is...Mori. Kyoya is...Kyoya.
Unfortunately none of the jokes are either funny nor exciting, since I've seen them all over like 5 times. Though most of it is due to the fact that as animation, you can't have instantaneous shots from one sequence to another because it looks bad.
Unfortunately at the end of the episode the twins seem so serious about their life being invaded, but in the manga it seems so much more light-hearted. ("Shall we make Haruhi our son-in-law?")
The theme "Sakura Kiss" is so insanely cute...oh gawd it is so insanely cute. And the characters in the theme are like...super simplified, which I think is...A PLUS! The ending theme isn't exactly that great to me, but I like how they used Bisco Hatori's original artwork there.
All in all, Ouran High School Host Club seems to be a pretty decent adaptation of the manga, and how they use some of the shots from the manga is pretty cool to die-hard fans, but unfortunately to those die-hard fans the same feeling that they get when they first read the manga once, then twice, then for the sixth time, is unfortunately lost.
Also I am not really looking forward to episode 06, didn't really like the episode. Stupid kid...and I hope Renge has slightly more screen-time, but it's always so random.
Especially with a freaking motor underneath the floor...
In other news, work on my fanfic has come to a halt. Unfortunately I am at a cross-road, I don't REALLY want to do another Organization XIV fanfic, but at the same time I don't know what to do.
I am considering throwing my character down into Twilight Town, but now that seems to be falling apart as well.
Maybe I will do something with Organization XIV...ah I see it, first she ends up in darkness, and Xemnas talks to her. Then we can hit World that Never Was, and when the six members go on to Castle Oblivion the character also goes afterwards as a spy.
Then end with climatic battle between the traitors and those loyal to the Organization. Yep...there ya go.
Oh and please expect the first chapter to appear here around tonight. I'm expecting to also start another one when I'm done with this one, but with more original characters and only cameos from the KH series.
