Advent Children was...

(There'll be spoilers, of course.)

Well, as a fan of FF7 (even though FF6 is better!) I just have this to say: Damn.

But that's in the bad way, more like "Damn, that was disappointing" because it was disappointing, there's way too much fight scenes, somethings don't make sense (like the origins of the Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz) and quite frankly, it just wasn't what I expected.

I'm glad that Cloud's story is finally ended, he's found redemption for himself, and he can finally move on with his life. In that respect, the movie was great.

In the other respect, such as the many...many...plot...problems...like Reno and Rude, face them in the game and they can kick your ass, yet Kadaj takes them out so easily. And apparently Tseng is still alive...which is wierd, because I always thought he died.

Sephiroth just popping out is just ridiculous, the fact that he gets an angel wing is also more ridiculous, the fact that he "dies" once more but leaves with his omnious message is just plain WRONG (Bad memories...Sigma...Megaman X series...Sigma...NOOOOO!), and just everyone popping out is...well it was fun seeing the cast of FF7 return, though if you ask me Cait Sith should've been on his giant Moogle...

And Rufus! What the hell?! The tower took Diamond WEAPON's blast full on, came CRASHING down, and he SURVIVED?! HOW?! PHYSICALLY! PHYSICALLY!

Just way too many fight scenes, plot was...even as a FF7 fan I was letdown, I mean come on Nomura, graphics aren't the only thing that makes a game, likewise amazing CG is not the only thing that makes a movie!

Honestly, even Spirits Within was better! Though just because of the whole FF7 cameos...it was nice seeing everyone all alive and well, well...as alive as you can be. It was a fun movie, I'm not saying it was amazing, because it certainly wasn't. A "negative" Lifestream? Wtf? Just keep it simple people...we don't need gravity defying stunts to impress the audience, just down to Earth FF7 team fighting against a giant creature known as Bahamut Sin, without our damn hero saving the day...AGAIN.

So Aerith ended up with Zack...well...they ARE both dead. Can't say the same about another couple though...

Hey, so you watched it?

November 29th can go to hell, right?

Anyways...I haven't played the game, so bear with me.

The whole movie is a one hour and 40 minute trailer! Music plus fighting scenes=equals good trailer, but it does not equal good movie. Look at it as a trailer and it kicks major butt. Obiviously the plot was...wait..what plot? But from a technical point of view it is a superb movie. None fans can't really complain. Fans can.

But on the record this movie was better than Spirits Within. At least it chose a certain direction, and that was action. Spirits tried to walk a fine line and failed.

And that is my little rant. Back to physics...
